Become a C-NRPP RADON Measurement Professional:

Step 1: Complete an Entry Level Radon Measurement Course
C-NRPP sets standards and review courses, but independent providers provide delivery and set cost of courses.
Course is either 2 day classroom course or 16 hours of online content

Step 2: Pass a C-NRPP Entry Level Radon Measurement Proctored Exam:
Exam available in both French and English in paper-and-pencil or online format
Exam is a proctored exam;
For those taking an online exam, C-NRPP will connect you with an online proctor and cost is included in the exam fees
For those writing a paper and pencil exam, the student must arrange for a proctor and the proctor fees are the responsibility of the student.

Proctor Information:
If you are writing a paper and pencil exam, you must arrange for a proctor and cover an applicable fees.

The proctor will need to complete a proctor security agreement, download here.

Online Proctor:
If you write the online exam, C-NRPP will connect you with an online proctor after you have ordered and paid for the exam. You will receive an invite to schedule the exam with the online proctor.

Exam Cost:
Paper and Pencil exams: $200 per exam plus GST
Online Exams: $175 per exam plus GST

Step 3: Complete the CNRPP Code of Ethics Course Online
– Email info@c-nrpp.ca to request course registration
– Take the course
– Submit Quiz to receive a Course Completion certificate

Step 4: Complete the CNRPP New Application Online
– Submit Code of Ethics Course Completion certificate
– Submit C-NRPP Measurement Course Completion certification
– Confirm you have passed the C-NRPP Measurement Exam
– Read and Agree with the Code of Ethics

Step 5: Complete Payment
Once you have completed the application, we will send you an invoice you can pay online.

Fees are due annually, however you will be required to complete a renewal form and submit renewal credits every two years.

Fee is $175 per year plus GST
($100 C-NRPP Certification and $75 Annual CARST Membership) (fees will be prorated to July 1)

Become a C-NRPP Analytical Laboratory:

There must be at least one individual with the Radon Measurement Professional Certification to certify as a C-NRPP Analytical Laboratory.

Step 1: Radon Measurement Certification is a prerequisite

Step 2: Submit a copy of the New C-NRPP Analytical Lab Application Form

Along with the application, you will need to submit the following:
– A copy of your company’s Quality Assurance Manual (Find details for the Quality Assurance Manual here)
– Submit Calibration Certificates
– Submit Spike/Performance Test Certificates

Once the application has been submitted it will be reviewed by C-NRPP
Step 3: Complete Payment
Once the application has been approved you will receive confirmation and an invoice from C-NRPP to pay online.
Fees: $75 every 2 years

Become a C-NRPP Radon Mitigation Professional:

Step 1: Radon Measurement Course is a prerequisite

FOR ALL CERTIFICATIONS:

Applications may take up to a 1 week to process. An applicant’s certification will appear on the “Find a Professional search” as they are entered into the C-NRPP database.
Physical certificate(s) and ID cards are mailed to the applicant.
C-NRPP certification applies to the individual, not the company. The individual should ensure we have their personal information in case of employment changes.

Length of Certification:
Certifications are two-year cycles with an annual fee.
Professionals complete 20 credits of C-NRPP Renewal Requirements during their 2 year cycle. Submit course certificates as well as supporting documents upon renewal.

Only one CARST membership fee is required per person.
